The Dallas Cowboys quietly made an awesome free agent acquisition this offseason when they signed former Los Angeles Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein.

If anyone doubted the signing, which pays Zuerlein an average of $2.5 million per year, an incredible training camp performance from "Legatron" should erase those doubts.

Zuerlein had one of his worst NFL seasons in 2019, making just 72.7 percent of his field goal attempts, but that seems to have allowed the Cowboys to snag an elite kicker at a discount.

An All-Pro in 2017, Zuerlein has made at least 80.0 percent of his field goals in five of eight NFL seasons, with a career average of 82.0 percent. He's also got one of the NFL's strongest legs, having made 33 field goals of 50-plus yards in his career.

Whatever was holding his performance back in 2019 is clearly behind Zuerlein, and Cowboys fans can expect big things from "Greg the Leg" in 2020.
