The race between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles for the top spot in the NFC East is shaping up to be incredibly competitive in 2020. Both teams have made some key improvements this offseason, and one big signing was the Cowboys landing defensive tackle Gerald McCoy in free agency.

This comment from McCoy in 2019 isn't exactly what Cowboys fans want to see, however.

When asked if he thinks Carson Wentz is a better quarterback than Dak Prescott, there's not even a moment of pause before he delivers a definite "yes."

This interview came from before the 2019 campaign, so McCoy wasn't even taking into account the fact that the Cowboys finished 8-8 and missed the playoffs while the Eagles secured the top spot in the division.

Dak did, however, put up a huge year in 2019 with 4,902 yards and 30 touchdowns through the air, compared to 4,039 yards and 27 touchdowns for Wentz. So maybe McCoy has changed his tune a bit.

McCoy's Cowboys are favored to win the NFC East on FanDuel Sportsbook, but this should be a close, competitive race in 2020. Let's hope McCoy can make amends with Dak before things get underway.
