The New York Jets revamped their offense in the offseason by drafting quarterback Zach Wilson in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and targeting underrated players in free agency. The team made a splash by signing Corey Davis to a three-year deal and he comes with WR3 potential in fantasy football.

Corey Davis Fantasy Outlook

Davis is coming off of the best season of his career in which he racked up 984 yards and 5 touchdowns by hauling in 65 of his 92 targets. He finished as the WR30 in PPR leagues despite missing two games due to injury and playing alongside a stud in A.J. Brown.

The 26-year-old has the potential to finish even higher this season if he can take over the No. 1 receiving role on the Jets. He comes with big-play speed and has shown he can consistently create space from defenders. Davis averaged a career-high 15.7 yards per reception in 2020.

It's no secret that the Jets have depth at the WR position including the likes of veteran Jamison Crowder and rookie Elijah Moore. However, Davis seems poised to have a big role playing on the outside as the Jets showed a fair amount of commitment by shelling out $37.5 million in order to sign him.

Davis may easily become Wilson's go-to target in a Jets' offense looking to improve. He may not be an immediate fantasy starter, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Davis work his way into FLEX/WR3 consideration. It may just come down to how Wilson looks as a passer after the first few weeks.

Even with the upside of a 100-target season, Davis can be drafted as a WR4 in most leagues. That is a cheap price to pay for a player that almost put up 1,000 yards last year. Davis checks in at WR49 in The Duel's 2021 fantasy football rankings.
