One big trade domino has already fallen early on in this 2021 NFL offseason, with Matthew Stafford heading to the Los Angeles Rams. The Indianapolis Colts, loaded with cap space and in need of a starting QB, seemed like a perfect destination, but they've missed out.

With a great fit like Stafford off the table and a Deshaun Watson trade unlikely, the Colts' options at QB are murky. Here are three potential quarterbacks the Colts should target now.

3. Teddy Bridgewater

It's clear that the Carolina Panthers are trying to move on from Teddy Bridgewater, which presents an intriguing trade opportunity for Indy. In 15 games for his new team last year, Bridgewater totaled 3,733 yards, 15 TDs and 11 INTs. His turnovers leave a lot to be desired, but he's only 28 and has room to grow. The QB's 69.1 completion percentage in 2020 (fifth in the league) should be attractive to Frank Reich, who could help maximize Bridgewater's potential.

2. Mitchell Trubisky

It looks incredibly likely that Mitchell Trubisky will be available this offseason, and the Colts should give him consideration. While he hasn't played up to his No. 2 overall selection, the talent is there, as evidenced by his Pro Bowl selection in 2018. There should be optimism about Trubisky's outlook in Indianapolis, protected by an elite offensive line and paired with an offensive genius like Reich. If Trubisky is going to prove his NFL worth, there's no better situation than the Colts to do just that.

1. Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston is a high-risk, high-reward option for the Colts in 2021. The quarterback is only one season removed from throwing for a league-best 5,109 yards and 33 TDs in 2019. His ability as a passer is undeniable, but he's sometimes a threat to his own success, as evidenced by the league-leading 30 INTs he also threw in 2019. In Indianapolis' system, Winston should be set up for a career year, and he's the most likely quarterback (who's currently available) to elevate the Colts' offense.
