The 2020 season has not been kind to T.Y. Hilton. He's already putting up the worst numbers of his career, averaging just 35.9 yards per game (down from a career average of 70.8), and now he's also dealing with a groin injury.
Down year or not, it's still bad news for the Indianapolis Colts that this injury may end up keeping Hilton on the sidelines for their Week 9 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Hilton's production is down, but through Week 6 (his six healthy contests) he was still averaging 6.2 targets per game. His 251 receiving yards are a team-high, and his 22 receptions rank second behind running back Nyheim Hines.
With Hilton on the shelf, Zach Pascal (19 receptions for 242 yards) will move up to the WR1 spot, while rookies Michael Pittman Jr. (10 receptions for 79 yards) and Marcus Johnson (11 receptions for 227 yards) will be asked to play expanded roles as well. There are no other WRs in Indy who have caught at least 10 passes this season.
This is a tough matchup to enter shorthanded, and NFL betting odds for Week 9 on FanDuel Sportsbook have the Colts as 2.5-point underdogs at home.
