Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was forced to leave his team's win in the fourth quarter due to a lower-body injury. It has now been confirmed that CEH will miss Kansas City's next two games, which skyrockets Le'Veon Bell's fantasy outlook for the final two games of the season.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire Fantasy Outlook

The injury is a blow to fantasy mangers with the rookie running back rostered. He served as the Chiefs' lead back all season, averaging 13.9 rushes, 2.8 receptions and 84.6 yards from scrimmage per game. CEH is currently RB13 in PPR scoring leagues, showcasing the first-year player's talent.

Edwards-Helaire's chances to suit up again this season sound slim to none, so feel free to move him to IR and add an active player for the fantasy football championship.

Le'Veon Bell Fantasy Outlook

Bell is now in line for a starter-level load once again to finish out the season after being the clear No. 2 behind CEH since he joined the Chiefs in Week 7.

The 28-year-old was averaging 5.9 attempts in his seven games as Edwards-Helaire's backup, but his attempts ballooned to 15 against the New Orleans Saints in Week 15 after CEH was forced to leave early. Almost immediately Bell found the endzone for his second score of the season off of a pitch from QB Patrick Mahomes.

With CEH registering single-digit attempts in only three of his 13 games this year, that foreshadows the kind of bulk Bell will now be able to absorb as the team's lead back. Bell, who's seen just 1.8 targets per game with Kansas City, also has the chance to up his involvement in the passing game by taking over most (if not all) of Edwards-Helaire's 4.2 targets per game.

Fantasy managers who could use a boost at RB with the fantasy championship currently underway should look into Bell's availability ASAP. Those that already have him rostered should feel confident in starting him to end the season given the opportunities he's bound to see as the team's lead back.
