The Kansas City Chiefs have an opportunity to keep pace with the Buffalo Bills as the AFC's only remaining 4-1 teams on Monday night. But first, they'll have to top an AFC West division rival in the Las Vegas Raiders during Monday Night Football.
Heading into this matchup, the Chiefs have a relatively healthy roster outside of Harrison Butker's ongoing absence and a trio of players listed as questionable on the injury report.
One of those players is No. 1 wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who's dealing with quad and hamstring injuries. Kansas City shared an update on his status ahead of kickoff.
JuJu Smith-Schuster Week 5 Status
NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported the Chiefs "expect" Smith-Schuster to suit up against the Raiders. He logged a limited participation during Saturday's practice but will be ready to go.
The clear-cut No. 1 wideout on the roster, Smith-Schuster ranks first in the position group with 27 targets, 19 receptions and 224 receiving yards. Only tight end Travis Kelce tops each of those figures.
Las Vegas' secondary provides a good opportunity for Smith-Schuster and KC's offense to keep rolling. The Raiders have allowed the ninth-most points and passing yards per game along with the eighth-most passing touchdowns.
Kansas City enters this MNF clash as considerable 7-point home favorites, according to NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
