The 2021 playoffs were bittersweet for Kansas City Chiefs fans for a couple of reasons.

Obviously losing in the Super Bowl is going to leave a bitter taste in fans' mouths for the offseason, but there was also a much more long-term worry that came up when it turned out Patrick Mahomes would need surgery.

Chiefs fans got great news on Monday, however, with the latest update from general manager Brett Veach.

Patrick Mahomes Injury Update

The surgery Mahomes underwent on his toe following the season was a success, and he is fully expected to be back for training camp. Not only that, but the team is also hopeful that he will be back early enough to get in pre-training camp offseason work as well.

During the same press conference, Veach said that the team is also hopeful to have offense linemen Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz back for training camp as well.

Things are already looking up for the Chiefs in 2021, and FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds have them as early favorites, at +500, to win Super Bowl LVI.
