CBS Sports Makes Bold Prediction About Bears QB Situation in 2020

NFL training camp is a time for positional battles. One of the most notable battles for a starting spot this offseason takes place on the Chicago Bears, with their quarterback job up for grabs. After Mitchell Trubisky struggled last season, the Bears traded for former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles.
While there have been plenty of predictions regarding the situation, Patrik Walker, of CBS Sports, recently made his own bold prediction on the Chicago quarterback competition.
The time is ticking for the Bears to decide who their starting quarterback will be.

And with only a handful of practices in full pads before Week 1, it creates a time-sensitive dilemma for the coaching staff, not to mention Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles.https://t.co/MVqL3X1Dbh
First off, Walker joins the large majority who feels Trubisky is not good enough to win this competition. He predicts Foles will be the Week 1 starter in Chicago, and he thinks he looks much better than he did during his time in Jacksonville.
As a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Foles got hurt in Week 1, then struggled when he returned later in the season. Walker feels Foles did not look fully healthy and instead rushed back, due to the success of Gardner Minshew. Now that Foles is healthy, he should look close to the Philadelphia Eagles version of himself.

Walker takes his prediction a step further and predicts Foles' success will lead the Bears to the playoffs as a Wild Card. It's a bold prediction, but it is certainly realistic.
