Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins Trade Asking Price Revealed

It's that time of year where big-name veterans are brought up as potential trade candidates before free agency. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is one player generating significant buzz around a possible relocation this offseason.

Many have wondered what Arizona would want in return, and now the team's asking price has potentially been revealed.

According to a couple agents I’ve spoken with the Cardinals looking for at least a second round pick and a conditional pick for DeAndre Hopkins. These conversations are taking place at the combine.

According to Cardinals reporter Mike Jurecki, "a couple agents" have told him Arizona is seeking "at least a second round pick and a conditional pick" in exchange for Hopkins. Jurecki also notes there are active trade conversations around the star wideout at the ongoing NFL Scouting Combine.

This price is right around the current going rate for quality wide receivers. Arizona acquired Marquise Brown for a first-rounder this past draft, and Philadelphia added A.J. Brown by sending out a first- and third-round selection that same night. Hopkins is much closer to that range than the tier of Davante Adams, who commanded a first- and second-round pick last offseason.

Hopkins showed he has plenty left in the tank during the 2022 season, so he'd be an excellent veteran addition for any contender. The Kansas City Chiefs have been one team linked to the wideout recently, which makes a ton of sense for both sides. Others like the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears should seriously consider joining the chase as well to boost their WR rooms.

Hopkins does have control over the situation with his no-trade clause, but it'd be no surprise to see him waive that for a team with a brigher future than the Cardinals.
