Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley is enjoying a career year in fantasy football, averaging 18.5 PPR points per game. Fantasy managers have missed the wideout over the past two weeks due to a foot injury that kept him out of Week 9 and a bye week in Week 10.
However, Ridley's latest injury update is positive for those hoping to see him suit up in Week 11.
With one missed game and a bye week to heal up, it looks like the added rest has helped put Ridley in a position to play on Sunday.
Calvin Ridley Fantasy Outlook
Ridley got off to the season on fire, figuring heavily into the Falcons' passing attack. In the first five games, Ridley averaged 10 targets and 5.8 receptions for 97 yards per game. He has grabbed 6 TDs in the 8 games he's appeared in for Atlanta this season, only one shy of his touchdown total from 2019.
Ridley should regain his prominent role as soon as he's ready to step back on the field. He leads the team in targets (68) and he's tied with Julio Jones for most receptions (43) despite missing their Week 9 game.
Ridley's injury progress is good news for fantasy managers, especially given the fact that Ridley will return to action for the Falcons' pass-heavy offense (fifth-most passing yards in the league this season). Ridley will benefit from being reunited with Matt Ryan, who has attempted the fourth-most passes (351) among QBs in 2020.
If the wideout is able to return in Week 11, he'll play against a New Orleans Saints defense that is allowing 37.4 fantasy points (PPR) to wideouts this season.
