Nearly a week after Myles Garrett was involved in a scary single-car accident, the Cleveland Browns have more clarity on his injury timeline.
Garrett, who suffered a shoulder injury in last Monday's crash, is expected to be hampered for the next 2-4 weeks.
Myles Garrett Injury Update
While Garrett was ruled out of Cleveland's Week 4 contest against the Atlanta Falcons, he may need to miss additional time as he recovers from his injuries. The new timeline suggests his status for Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers might be in jeopardy as well, and potentially more games beyond that.
On the other hand, Garrett may attempt to play through the injury, even if he's not 100%. The Browns are already shorthanded elsewhere on the roster and are essentially in survival mode until Deshaun Watson makes his season debut during Week 13.
Cleveland could certainly use the former No. 1 overall pick on defense next week against Los Angeles' high-flying offense, so don't be surprised if Garrett makes a push to play next week. He could end up being a huge difference-maker in that game if he does suit up, although it will depend on how his recovery progresses next week and if he's able to practice.
As it stands, the Browns are currently 1.5-point home underdogs against the Chargers on FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 5 NFL odds.
