Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield didn't seem quite like himself in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings. The signal-caller managed to complete just 15 of 33 passes for a paltry 155 yards, and Cleveland had rely on the run game once again to get the win.

It turns out Mayfield is dealing with a concerning shoulder injury.

Baker Mayfield Injury

The QB has recently been seen wearing a shoulder harness, and it's due to him suffering a partially torn labrum against the Houston Texans in Week 2. Mayfield won't need surgery for now, but it could be an issue that gets worse as the season goes on.

This certainly isn't good news for the Browns' offense. It could put extra pressure on running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, and defenses won't be afraid to load the box if the passing game isn't a real threat.

Cleveland was already a bottom-10 passing team in 2020, so Mayfield being hampered by an injury could be a serious problem. The QB is remaining optimistic that it won't impact his play, though.

Mayfield and the Browns head into a tough test against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5. Cleveland is a 2-point underdog in that matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
