The Denver Broncos' Super Bowl LVII odds skyrocketed after acquiring quarterback Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks earlier this week. Although he gives their offense a major boost, Denver still has defensive issues that need addressing this offseason.

One player who could help the Broncos is veteran linebacker Anthony Hitchens. Not only could the former Iowa product help improve their defense but his signing would also hurt the rival Kansas City Chiefs in the process.

Broncos Free Agency

The Broncos had the second-best scoring defense last season, but their linebacker position was seriously lacking after trading Von Miller away to the Los Angeles Rams in November.

Hitchens had a respectable 2021 campaign despite Kansas City's defensive struggles. He started in each of the 15 games he played, ending the year with 80 tackles, a pair of defended passes and an interception.

One of the best parts of Hitchens' game is his versatility. He can play any of the linebacker positions, making him a great complement for OLB Bradley Chubb. If playing for the Broncos can get Hitchens' career back on track, opposing offense's could have their hands full with Denver's linebackers.

The Broncos will be under a lot of pressure to build a championship-worthy roster this offseason. Denver currently has +700 odds (No. 3) to win Super Bowl LVII next season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
