Deshaun Watson's trade request from the Houston Texans is arguably the biggest story in the NFL outside of Super Bowl LV. Everyone seems to have an opinion on the situation, from what the Texans should do to where Watson wants to end up.

Former QB Brett Favre has weighed in on Watson's trade request with an inexplicable take.

Favre believes that Watson is being paid to perform his job as quarterback, and he shouldn't be focused on going to a different team than the one that employs him. The Hall-of-Famer is clearly showing his old school way of thinking, but even he adopted the "player empowerment" mindset when he was in the league.

"You get paid a ton of money to do a certain job, and just do it, and let the chips fall where they may. I think we make too much money to voice an opinion."

Favre's relationship with the Green Bay Packers deteriorated near the end of his tenure there, with the threat of retirement hanging over his last seasons. Then, he came back from retirement and forced a trade from the team, playing for the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings to end his career.

Favre seems to think that franchises should get the benefit of the doubt from breaking promises or falling into disarray, which is why the Texans have found themselves in this situation in the first place.

Looking at Houston's recent moves, it hard's not to blame Watson for wanting out.
