The Buffalo Bills have been playing in Highmark Stadium since it was first built in 1973. However, the team's lease runs out in 2023 and reports claim they will be looking to start fresh. The Bills have now made an official proposal for a new 60,000-seat stadium that they can call home as early as 2027.

This proposal includes a construction timeline that has 2027 as the ending date. In addition to the 60,000 sets, the new stadium would include 60 suites and a variety of unique aspects. It's notable to point out that it would be considered a bit of a downsize given Highmark Stadium fits 73,000 fans.

The stadium would remain fully outdoor with no roof involved, but it would designed so that a majority of the seats are protected from the elements. Buffalo has been known to be one of the toughest places to play when the temperatures drop during the second half of the NFL season.

The Bills originally considered proposing a larger stadium that came with a price tag of $1.6 billion. They have since decided to shrink the project down a bit and come in with a proposed price tag of $1.3 billion. It is yet to be figured out how the cost would be distributed between all parties involved.

For now, this proposal acts as a hint of excitement for Buffalo fans. The Bills will look to keep the good times going and currently have odds set at -150 to win the AFC East division. They are also tied for the third best odds to win the Super Bowl at +1200, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
