Back-to-back losses have the Buffalo Bills staring at a Wild Card spot and No. 7 seed in the AFC playoff picture. While this team has the capabilities to make a deep postseason run, it's still never too early to start thinking about the future and the upcoming NFL Draft.

NFL insider Todd McShay is projecting Buffalo to add another piece to its ferocious defense in the first edition of his 2022 NFL mock draft.

Bills Mock Draft

McShay projects Buffalo to select Auburn Tigers cornerback Roger McCreary with the No. 23 overall pick.

Buffalo touts one of the better secondary units in the NFL, but the season-ending loss of Tre'Davious White to injury has shown a clear need for cornerback depth.

McCreary is lauded for his press man-coverage capabilities, picking up a team-leading 14 passes defended and 2 interceptions during his senior season. That's an excellent addition to a secondary unit that ranks second in opponent passing yards per game (179.5) and top-10 in passes defended.

Buffalo still holds +1400 odds to win Super Bowl LVI on FanDuel Sportsbook.
