The Buffalo Bills were originally scheduled to travel to Levi's Stadium in Week 13 to face the San Francisco 49ers. However, due to COVID-19 regulations, the 49ers have been required to find a new stadium to play in.
The replacement stadium the 49ers settled on? State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals, and also the place where the Bills suffered a tragic last-second loss on a hail mary Week 10 of this season.
So now Buffalo is forced to return to the site of its heart-breaking defeat, which is just cruel.
The Bills thought they had a win in Week 10 against the Cardinals after scoring a touchdown with just under 40 seconds left to take a 30-26 lead. Surely Arizona didn't have enough time to score a touchdown, right? Well, Cardinals fans had their prayers answered on Kyler Murray's 43-yard hail mary to DeAndre Hopkins, giving them a walk-off win.
Buffalo will hope to have better luck against the 49ers on Monday Night Football, although San Francisco will come into that Week 13 matchup with momentum after an upset victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12.
