The Buffalo Bills have been relatively quiet in terms of free agency moves thus far. But prior to free agency officially beginning, the team released wide receiver John Brown to open up some cap space.

This left a hole in the receiving corps, but the Bills are linked to an exciting free agent wide receiver who could be an affordable replacement.

According to local sources, wide receiver Sammy Watkins is in Buffalo. After struggling with injuries during his Kansas City Chiefs tenure, Watkins finds himself back on the market.

This would not only be a free agent signing for Buffalo; it would be a reunion. Watkins was selected fourth overall by the Bills in the 2014 NFL Draft. The former Clemson wide receiver showed a lot of promise in Buffalo. He totaled 982 yards his rookie season and a career-high 1,047 yards in his second year.

Watkins was traded to the Rams after his third season.. Not only would Watkins never reach 1,000 yards in a season again, he's failed to total even 700 yards since the deal. Injuries have headlined his career, as he has not played a full season since his rookie year.

With the Bills having a promising receiver in Gabriel Davis expected to step up, a Watkins reunion could make him a rotational piece in a talented Buffalo receiver corps.
