Here are three of the best prop bets for this regular season game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Nuggets vs Suns Player Props Picks - 10/20/2021
1. Nikola Jokic - Assists: Over 6.5 (-122)
Each and every year, Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic has gotten better and better at dishing the basketball. That was no different last season, when he averaged a career-high 8.3 assists per game. The Nuggets will continue to rely on Jokic as point guard Jamal Murray remains sidelined. Jokic averaged 6.7 assists per contest in Denver's final 13 regular season games without Murray. This is a layup of a prop bet and worth the price.
2. Michael Porter Jr. - Points: Over 20.5 (-106)
Jamal Murray's absence will be felt across the entire Nuggets lineup. Michael Porter Jr. is one of the beneficiaries. The fourth-year wing exploded at the end of the regular season, averaging 24.1 points and 16.3 field goal attempts across the final 12 games. Porter should have no issues eclipsing 21 points, sheerly based on the volume he'll put up.
3. Deandre Ayton - Rebounds: Under 10.5 (-134)
Suns big man Deandre Ayton saw his rebound average go down to 10.5 last season and he'll kick off the season against one of the best rebounding teams in the league. Denver led the league in allowing just 41.2 opponent rebounds last season. The Nuggets roll out Jokic, who averaged 10.8 rebounds a year ago, and a rotation of bigs that notches at least 6.0 rebounds per 36 minutes played in Aaron Gordon (6.0) and JaMychal Green (8.9).
