Best NFL Prop Bets for Thursday Night Football Week 1

The 2020 NFL season is finally here, kicking off with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the Houston Texans and Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
if you don't feel like betting on a winner or point spread for what is projected to be one of Week 1's most lopsided games, there are still plenty of betting options with prop bets on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Here are the three best prop bets for Thursday Night Football in Week 1.
1. Any Time Touchdown Scorer: Darrel Williams (+280)
Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the top dog in this backfield, but there's been some positive buzz around Darrel Williams in training camp. Williams is a bigger and more powerful runner than Edwards-Helaire, and he could be heavily involved in short-yardage and goal line situations. The goal line role in an offense as good as KC's should mean plenty of scoring opportunities. You can even bet Williams to score 2-plus touchdowns at +2500 if you're feeling bold.
2. First Half Total: Under 27.5 (-135)
With a shortened offseason and no preseason games, even high-powered offenses like these ones could be slow out of the gate. The Chiefs are starting a rookie RB, and the Texans' offense has been shaken up by the departure of DeAndre Hopkins. That could cause this game to be low scoring, at least in the early going while teams get their legs under them a bit.
3. Spread / Total Points Parlay 5: Houston Texans (+10.5) & Under (53.5) Points (+230)
FanDuel Sportsbook offers a ton of different lines for spread/total point parlay props, and this is an interesting one. The Chiefs' defense isn't exactly their strength (they gave up 20.2 points per game in 2019), and if this game is going to stay under 53.5 total points, it doesn't seem likely that we'll see a blowout. The under is obviously the less likely of the two parts of this parlay, but we touched on why unders could be interesting above.
