Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins prompted questions from concerned fans after he was seen sporting a sling at the Reds' Opening Day game. Though Higgins missed two games early on last season with a shoulder injury, he didn't looked hampered down the stretch or in the playoffs.

It turns out Higgins was playing through a labrum injury, which required offseason surgery. The initial word is that the stud wideout is thankfully doing just fine now.

Tee Higgins Injury

Higgins was asked by Bengals writer Geoff Hobson about being ready to suit up for training camp later this summer, and the upcoming third-year pro said "that's the plan." The procedure appears to have gone off without a hitch, which is great news.

Higgins improved across the board in 2021 for Cincinnati, racking up career highs in receptions (74) and yards (1,091) while tying his rookie-year mark with 6 touchdowns.

The Clemson product stepped up in a huge way during the playoffs for the Bengals, recording 96-plus yards in their final three games. That included a 100-yard, 2-TD performance on the big stage in the Super Bowl.

Hopefully Higgins' recovery goes smooth this summer and he can hit the ground running in training camp.
