Bears Defenders Respond to Criticism From Matt Nagy

The Chicago Bears are coming off of another loss, this time a 41-25 defeat at the hands of the Green Bay Packers. That makes it five straight losses for the Bears, and all eyes are on head coach Matt Nagy. However, Nagy deflected blame for Sunday night's beatdown, calling out his defense for how they performed.

Perhaps Nagy is trying to light a spark under his defense, hoping that they'll step up in Week 13 against the Detroit Lions. However, it's questionable timing, especially with the head coach appearing to be on the outs in Chicago. It could be Nagy making one last-ditch attempt to save his job by firing up his defense.
It's actually the offense that has struggled in recent weeks and kept the Bears from wins. They're averaging just 17.6 points per contest during their current five-game losing streak.
Chicago's mediocre offense has a chance to breakthrough in Week 13 against Detroit, who is allowing the second-most points per game (29.8) to opposing teams this year. The Bears are 3-point favorites in that matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
