Baker Mayfield Projected for Career Year in 2021
By FairwayJay

Former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield enters his fourth season with the Cleveland Browns in 2021. By FanDuel Sportsbook's AFC North projections and Mayfield's over/under passing yards prop, Mayfield is projected for a career year in 2021.
Baker Mayfield Passing Yards Prop
FanDuel Sportsbook has listed the over/under for Mayfield's passing yards this season at 4,000.5. Even with an extra game on the schedule this year and the Browns extra opponent being the Arizona Cardinals, the expectations for Mayfield are high. The Browns quarterback has been consistent in his passing totals his first three years in the NFL while only missing two games through three seasons. Mayfield has passed for between 3,563 yards last year to a high of 3,827 yards in 2019.

If you follow and read other NFL news including Mayfield's stance on his contract situation, you'll see the franchise quarterback is most concerned about winning. Fulfilling the huge expectations following the Browns first playoff appearance in nearly two decades is what is fueling the Cleveland's quarterback to reach new heights in 2021.
Mayfield passed a career-low 486 times in 16 regular season games last season, which tied his rookie season when he played in 14 games. His second-year head coach Kevin Stefanski was named one of the NFL's best play-callers last year while being voted Coach of the Year.
The Browns have perhaps the best running back duo in the league, which produced a top-5 rushing attack that averaged 148.4 yards per game last season. Both Nick Chubb (1,067 yards) and Kareem Hunt (841 yards) rushed nearly 200 times each.
If Mayfield can remain healthy and play a full season, the argument for a 4,000 passing yard season is still strong. The Browns offensive line ranks as the No. 1 unit in the NFL, according to ProFootballFocus. The offensive line was No. 1 in pass blocking and No. 1 in run blocking in 2020.
With Mayfield getting time to pass and showing greater chemistry and precision with leading receiver Jarvis Landry, a healthier Odell Beckham Jr. and emerging Rashard Higgins, the Browns offense appears ready to become one of the most productive units in the league with Mayfield shooting for a career season in Cleveland.
