The Kansas City Chiefs lost a tough battle against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6 but will look to rebound on the road against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday. Ahead of the matchup, head coach Andy Reid shared a pair of updates on two players that have yet to provide a major impact on the field this season.
The updates came in the form of mixed news for linebacker Willie Gay and rookie cornerback Trent McDuffie. According to Reid, Gay "took his usual reps" during the week's practices and "would likely" play on Sunday. McDuffie, on the other hand, is "less definitive" about his availability.

Both players are poised to return from brief absences. Gay was hit with a four-game suspension after violating the league's personal conduct policy but will look to pick up where he left off after a strong start to the season.
McDuffie saw limited action in Week 1 before landing on the IR with a hamstring issue. Both players are working to get back up to full speed before their official activation.
