AL Rookie of the Year Odds: Julio Rodriguez, Jeremy Peña Dueling for Lead Entering June on FanDuel Sportsbook

The tight Rookie of the Year race continues in the American League as the calendar hits June. This year's crop of AL rookies is led by center fielder Julio Rodriguez (+200) and shortstop Jeremy Pena (+260), who are the favorites in FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB futures odds.

But plenty of other players are in the race as well with only a third of the season in the books. That includes shortstop Bobby Witt, Jr. (+650) and starting pitcher Joe Ryan (+750), whose odds make them contenders heading into the summer.

Rodriguez is batting .268 with 6 HRs and 23 RBI for the Seattle Mariners. His 14 stolen bases is tops in baseball.

Peña leads all major-league rookies with 8 HRs and he's hitting a solid .281 with 23 RBIs for the Houston Astros.

Witt Jr. has fallen slightly, but the Kansas City Royals SS leads all rookies with 24 RBI and 23 runs scored, both just ahead of Rodriguez and Peña. He's only hitting .232, though, despite productive numbers.

Ryan is pitching well for the AL Central-leading Minnesota Twins. He's 5-2 with a 2.28 ERA and just 29 hits allowed in 43.1 innings. His 23 K's, 0.99 WHIP and .186 batting average against complete a solid rookie profile.

Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutcshman (+1300) was recently called up after earning the label as the No. 1 prospect in baseball. He's hitting .179 in 39 at-bats without an RBI.
