Aaron Rodgers Responds to Situation in Kenosha

On Sunday night, video emerged of police offers shooting the unarmed Jacob Blake in the back seven times in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Coming just months after a police officer killed George Floyd, this shooting has naturally been at the forefront of national news, and athletes have been speaking up about the issue.

One player to speak up was Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Clearly not wanting to draw much ire from anyone, Rodgers dances around the issues a bit, making it clear that he's not going to comment too much on the shooting itself.

Rodgers makes a point of insisting that he believes in and appreciates many police officers, but does acknowledge a systemic problem with prejudice against people of color.

Expect to hear many more athletes come out with their thoughts on the situation in the coming days, especially those who play in Wisconsin, where this hits close to home.
