The Green Bay Packers' wide receiver group was not good last year, save for Davante Adams. That has been well documented. One of the least effective members of that unit was Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who underwhelmed while serving as the team's No. 2 wideout.

However, it looks like he could be in for a bounce-back year, as Aaron Rodgers heaped some real praise onto the third-year receiver.

That has to be encouraging for Valdes-Scantling because it certainly doesn't reflect what we saw on the field last season.

Allen Lazard outplayed MVS in 2019, posting a 72.3 grade from Pro Football Focus, while Valdes-Scantling was all the way down at 57.0. Most of the training camp buzz seemed to point to a Lazard breakout as well.

MVS does have real upside, though. He's a 6-foot-4 receiver who can flat-out fly, having run a 4.37 40-yard dash back at the 2018 NFL Combine.

If both of these wideouts can make good on all this offseason hype, Green Bay's offense could be really dangerous in 2020.
