The NFL has quite a few storied traditions, but perhaps none are as fun as the retired lineman suddenly getting into incredible shape. Joe Thomas revealed his most recent body transformation, but he's arguably already been overshadowed by former New England Patriots tackle, Sebastian Vollmer.

Vollmer topped out at 320 pounds during his playing days, but his new muscular frame might even make D.K. Metcalf blush. The former All-Pro, who retired after the 2016 season, surely isn't on the same diet as 2019 NFL Draft prospect Quinnen Williams.

In all seriousness, Vollmer's transformation should be applauded. The NFL places rigorous demands on its players, especially on lineman, so getting into this kind of shape so quickly is no small task.

Players like Vollmer and Thomas have certainly set a high bar, but this is an inspiring story for anyone looking to get into better shape.
