You'd think being a win away from the World Series would give a team another shot of heading to the postseason. Sadly, the MLB is a tough place to repeat.

The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off a season where they had their most wins since 2011. They won 96 games, won the NL Central in a one-game playoff over the Cubs, and were just one win away from being league champions. Despite their incredible season, they're projected to regress in 2019 based on win totals.

The Brewers are projected to win fewer games than both the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals in 2019 on the FanDuel Sportsbook.

This isn't completely shocking. Chicago brings back all the key pieces from a team that nearly took the division. The Cardinals won 88 games and added an MVP candidate in Paul Goldschmidt. Still, the Brewers didn't lose anybody of major importance and added talents like Mike Moustakas and Alex Claudio.

Maybe this is because the Reds and Pirates are also expected to be tough teams to win against?

Looks like the Brewers will have to prove everyone wrong for a second-straight season.
