Monday evening is pretty light on college basketball action, with only three games featuring ranked teams on the docket. However, the highlight of the schedule is the Sunflower Showdown between No. 12 Kansas and No. 23 Kansas State.

Kansas State comes into the game having already beaten Kansas once this year, winning 74-67, in Manhattan earlier this month. As of Monday, the Wildcats have a two-game conference lead over the Jayhawks. If Kansas loses Monday night, its stranglehold over the Big 12 is all but over.

Still, Kansas is at home and 5-point favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The Jayhawks just lost by 29 to Texas Tech, but can never be counted out when playing in Lawrence. So before you decide to make a bet on this game, take a look at what some of the experts have to say.

Kansas vs Kansas State Predictions

Sports Chat Place

Andrew Jett of Sports Chat Place has Kansas picking up the win and the cover, pointing to its ability to bounce back after straight up (SU) losses. The Jayhawks are 8-0 against the spread (ATS) after a loss of more than 20 points and 37-18-3 ATS following a loss of any kind.

Nick Raffoul - Winners and Whiners

Even though it's a revenge game for Kansas, Raffoul is going with the Wildcats to pick up the big road win because he thinks they just have more talent on the wings than a banged up Jayhawks squad.

Sports Jaw

Sports Jaw is also rolling with the Wildcats here to not only cover but pick up the win in Lawrence 73-70. Sports Jaw predicts a close game, but think Kansas State will prevail because of its top-5 defense.

ESPN Basketball Power Index

The ESPN BPI disagrees with most of our experts here, giving Kansas a 71.5-percent chance to win this game.

Overall, its a 2-1 split on money line picks in favor of the Jayhawks, but for the spread, it's a 1-1 tie. Regardless, it's clear the experts think this will be a close one.
