The New England Patriots' running game will probably never get the credit it deserves while Tom Brady is their quarterback. After all, he's headed to the ninth Super Bowl of his career, mostly doing it without a star-studded backfield.
That has definitively changed now with Sony Michel manning the Patriots' rushing attack.

Super Bowl LIII has more than a few interesting matchups but the best could be how the Patriots decide to attack the Los Angeles Rams, who allowed a league-worst 5.1 yards per carry this season.

Michel went crazy on the Kansas City Chiefs for the second time this season, most recently going for 113 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the AFC Championship Game. He went on to break the record for most rushing touchdowns (5) in a single postseason by a rookie.
If the Patriots go on to win, Michel will be a catalyst for doing so. Look for them to continue their current ways and get a leg up on the shakey Rams run defense.
