The Duke Blue Devils are expected to be without star freshman guard Tre Jones for an extended period of time thanks to a separated AC joint injury he sustained against Syracuse on Monday night. Under normal circumstances with most teams, losing a top player like Jones would significantly hurt their title odds. However, this clearly isn't the case with Duke.

Before Jones went down, the Blue Devils (+200 via  FanDuel Sportsbook) were the undisputed National Championship favorites by a wide margin, with Gonzaga (+1200) coming in a very distant second.

Losing a player of Jones' caliber for the foreseeable future would make you think that Duke's commanding title odds would dip, right? Well, you'd be correct. To an extent, anyway.

Despite losing such an integral cog in the Blue Devils' machine, Duke's title chances (+210) have barely dropped now that they're expected to be without Jones.

The fact that their title odds have barely dropped is a testament to just how loaded this year's Duke team is. Anything can happen in college basketball, especially when March rolls around, but right now, anyone with money on Duke shouldn't be to be too worried about their chances.
