The New England Patriots host the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday in an AFC Divisional Round matchup, and the forecast has plenty of inclement weather in store.
While we're still days away from kickoff, initial projections are calling for a 50-50 chance of snow on Sunday. Weather.com indicates that heavy snow showers are a possibility, but the same forecast also shows 3-to-5 inches of snowfall.
As for snow chances since everyone is interested in the #Patriots outlook...a coastal storm will be sniffing around. Just a question of whether it gets suppressed south or not.— Eric Fisher (@ericfisher) January 7, 2019

Obviously, this inclement weather would affect the game on a couple of different fronts. For one, the Chargers are used to the cushy temperatures of southern California and this would almost certainly hinder them in some fashion. Ultimately, both sides could have some issues moving the ball in blizzard-like conditions, thus affecting the over/under total in this game, which is currently at 45 points, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

In fact, the total has already dropped more than three points, after starting at 48.5 points. Oddly enough, the Patriots opened as 6.5-point favorites, which has since dropped to four.
It's still too early to tell exactly how the weather will look on Sunday, but New Englanders would certainly welcome an all-out blizzard as an added bit of home-field advantage in this one.
