The New Orleans Saints are the top seed in the NFC playoffs and became the betting favorite once they clinched the No. 1 spot.

But being the heavy betting favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, isn't the only reason you might want to consider betting on the Saints to win it all.

The last time the Saints won the Super Bowl, all the way back in 2010, they were the No. 1 seed with a 13-3 record. Those three losses came to the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers.

This year's Saints team, still coached by Sean Payton and quarterbacked by Drew Brees, has snagged the No. 1 seed in NFC again at 13-3, with all three of their losses coming to Dallas, Tampa Bay and Carolina.

That's right. The same exact seed. The same exact record. And losses to the same exact three teams in the regular season.

The Saints were also dominant against this year's playoff teams, going 3-1 with their only loss to the aforementioned Cowboys in an ugly 13-10 Thursday night loss in Week 13.

So if 2019 turns out to be anything like 2010, the Saints will be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in a few short weeks.
