Joe Flacco has been nursing a hip injury for the past couple of weeks. The good news is that hip won't require surgery, the bad news is that it will keep him out of his second-straight game. Flacco has officially been ruled out of the Ravens Week 12 game against the Oakland Raiders, rookie Lamar Jackson will make his second career start in his place.
Ravens' QB Lamar Jackson expected to make his first NFL start for Joe Flacco, who won't need hip surgery, per sources:https://t.co/oeSoWulGTm— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 18, 2018
Jackson performed well in his first career start and was able to come away with the win. Jackson set a quarterback record for most rushing attempts with 26 rushes for 119 yards. He led the team in both passing and rushing yards, which was good enough for 15.9 fantasy points.
Jackson should be in line for another solid fantasy day with a favorable matchup against the Raiders. Oakland is currently 21st in the league for fantasy points surrendered to quarterbacks and has a rush defense that ranks 31st, second to last, better than only the Bengals, Jackson's opponent from Week 11.
If you're in a pinch or facing a bye at quarterback, Jackson could be a viable streaming option in deeper leagues.
