Detroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones will not be on the field this Sunday for the team's Week 11 matchup with the Carolina Panthers, after suffering a knee injury in last week's loss to the Chicago Bears. The wideout is now set to get a second opinion to see if there's additional ACL or MCL damage.
The injury is a huge hit to the Lions offense as the team recently traded away Golden Tate to the Philadelphia Eagles. Look for Kenny Golladay to get peppered with additional targets on Sunday, while T.J. Jones and Bruce Ellington will help round out the Lions' receiving corps.
Jones was in the midst of his best stretch of the season, mainly because of the targets up for grabs since Tate was traded away. His fantasy owners will now have to wait and see how the second opinion on his knee comes back, but he is definitely worth holding on to at this point. If you're in desperate need of a wideout this weekend, the waiver wire will likely be your best bet.
