The Arizona Cardinals offense hasn't been reminiscent of their 2015 unit, but, with changes at the mid-way point in the coaches room, there's room for optimism.
Leading the way in the second half of the season could be the rookie duo of quarterback Sam Rosen and wide receiver Christian Kirk. Larry Fitzgerald still leads the way in targets, but, as you can see below, Kirk has been the most efficient Cardinal receiver in 2018.
Christian Kirk was a very good prospect & has been the Cardinals most efficient & productive pass catcher. Grab him if he’s available in your league, he could have big second half of the season. pic.twitter.com/PUvaR0RJuz— Mike Braude (@BraudeM) November 6, 2018
Most recently, Kirk drew Rosen's eye in Arizona's fourth-quarter comeback just a few weeks ago against the San Francisco 49ers. It's telling to see Rosen look for the fellow rookie to cap off a game-winning drive.
Over the past four games, Kirk has drawn 52 percent of his total season targets (averaging six per game during that stretch) and 64 percent of his total yards - including two touchdowns.
Fitzgerald isn't going away, with 31 targets of his own over the past four games, but Kirk seems to be trending upwards.
As newly-baptized offensive coordinator Bryon Leftwich gets more comfortable, it would serve him well to get Kirk more involved in Rosen's development.
