San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman is still listed as questionable to play in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals. However, if he does make it onto the field, you'd be wise to sit Cards' rookie wide receiver Christian Kirk this week.

It's always been a horrible idea for quarterbacks to target passes towards Sherman, but that mindset has soared to another level this season. As you can see from the graphic below, he's only been targeted once on every 19.8 snaps per target in coverage. To put that in perspective, that's less than two pass attempts (per league average) thrown in Sherman's direction each game.

Rookie wide receivers are something Sherman will always look forward to. After all, he is one of the NFL's elite trash talkers in the game, and he'll certainly look to get inside Kirk's head.

Make sure you keep an eye out on Sherman's availability for Sunday, but it's worth noting he was close to playing last week.
