Somehow we're already seven weeks into the NFL season, which means the playoff picture is starting to come into focus. But it also means that it's clearer who the real fantasy studs are.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and running back Todd Gurley are clearly going to put in work every week, but figuring out which players will break out this week is a much tougher task.
Here are five players -- one QB, RB, WR, TE and DEF -- that could break out in Week 7.
1. Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Andy Dalton has quietly had a solid season, averaging 18.7 fantasy points a game and now he gets to go up against the Chiefs' defense in what will likely be a shootout. The Chiefs give up an average of 23.4 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, so look for Dalton to be a top-five fantasy QB this week.
2. Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Nick Chubb has been one of the most efficient running backs in the NFL this year, but he hasn't been getting enough touches to make it worth anything. Now that Carlos Hyde has been traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chubb will get a chance to be the Browns bell-cow back. He faces a Buccaneers defense that gives up 25.6 points per game to running backs, lining up the Browns' new starter for a big game.
3. John Brown, WR, Baltimore Ravens vs. New Orleans Saints

John Brown has been a rough fantasy play over the past two weeks, after starting the season with four straight double-digit performances. But this is the week where he gets back on track. The Ravens are going up against the worst fantasy defense against wide receivers in the New Orleans Saints. Nobody gives up more fantasy points to wideouts, so Brown will surely get his share on Sunday.
4. Trey Burton, TE, Chicago Bears vs. New England Patriots

The tight end barrel is a bit dry this week as there's a big gap between the studs and the sleepers, but Trey Burton is one player who has a chance at a breakout game against New England. The Patriots are in the bottom-third of the league against tight ends and Burton will surely see some targets in the red zone in this potential shootout.
5. Washington Redskins Defense/Special Teams vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Redskins defense is quietly ranked in the top five in total defense, giving up just 326.2 yards per game this season. They will take on a Dallas team, in Washington, that is allowing the 12th-most fantasy points to opposing defenses. The Redskins D is giving up just over 20 points per game, while averaging one fumble recovery and two sacks per game through five contests this season. Look for a solid game from the Washington defense at home, making the unit a startable defense/special teams in Week 7.
