Sony Michel had yet another fantastic fantasy performance Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, recording a season-high 22.60 points in standard scoring leagues.

Usually, fantasy football players would take his performance with a grain of salt considering how crowded the New England backfield has been lately, but if head coach Bill Belichick's recent comments indicate anything, it's likely that Michel's performance may be a sign of much better things to come.

After the Patriots' thrilling 43-40 win, the head coach "heaped" praise on his rookie running back's performance during his postgame presser, complimenting him in the most 'Belichick-ian' way possible.

I mean, that's probably the most you'd expect from Belichick, right?

Michel's recent performances can't be understated at this point. The rookie out of Georgia has handsomely rewarded his fantasy owners over the past three weeks, scoring at least 17 points in standard scoring leagues, despite being on the field for no more than 47 percent of New England's offensive snaps.

Patriots running back James White's presence in the backfield lowers Michel's fantasy stock a bit. Yet, if Belichick implied anything when talking about the rookie, there's a very good chance that his role on offense could increase as the season moves along.
