5 Realistic Trade Offers for Jimmy Butler in Fantasy

Jimmy Butler might be moved from Minnesota eventually, but the trading doesn't just stop there. Regardless of where he plays, the man is going to be competing with a chip on his shoulder. He's someone you definitely should target, but make sure you're acquiring him for the right price. Here are five stars you can move for Jimmy Butler.

5. DeMar DeRozan

Speaking of players with a chip on their shoulders, this has the makings for a huge year for DeRozan. He's going to be the go-to scorer with the ball in his hands in the Spurs offense. DeRozan has the chance to elevate his game in Gregg Popovich's system, which is why this can be deemed a fair trade. Even though he had a worse shooting percentage, more turnovers, and scored just .8 more points per game, this team change could push him to Butler's level.

4. Paul George

If you need some help early on in the season, acquiring George may be smart. He always has solid numbers and posted similar stats to Butler last year, but has a chance to be even better, at least to start the year off. With Russell Westbrook out after undergoing knee surgery, it's going to be the Paul George show in OKC. His usage rate will be even higher than it normally is, giving him a chance to be a real star this season.

3. Khris Middleton

This may seem like a reach to some, but Middleton is one of the more underrated players in the NBA. He's one player who's primed to make a huge jump this season thanks to the new system brought in by Mike Budenholzer. If he can shoot even better from behind the arc while increasing his points once again, then he could end up being a steal. Butler is a high price and will be hard to pry from a team's hands thanks to his big name, but this trade isn't too far fetched.

2. Victor Oladipo

Victor Oladipo proved to be one of the better up-and-coming players in the league last season. Not only did he put himself on the map, but he became a fantasy monster. With more points than Butler while shooting better from deep, he can absolutely be a steal for someone trading for the disgruntled Timberwolves swingman.

1. Donovan Mitchell

Mitchell only scratched the surface last year. With a second season in the NBA, he'll enter the league with a full grasp on how to compete at the highest level. He has a chance to go off for 30 every single night. If he can improve his percentage while lowering his turnovers, he has a chance to get to Butler's level.
