Sunday night can't get here soon enough.

We have a  huge matchup on our hands as the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs with early-season MVP candidate Pat Mahomes take on the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots in Foxborough. With Mahomes destroying opposing defenses so far this season, you'd think he'd be primed to light up the Patriots' inconsistent defense. But the truth is, that's much easier said than done.

In fact, it hasn't been easy for any young QB to come out of Gillette Stadium with a win, ever. In the 42 games in the history of the stadium played by quarterbacks ages 25 and under, only one of them has ever won a game.

And that man is Colin Kaepernick.

How is that even possible?

This tells you a few things. First, we all seem to forget how great Kaepernick was at his best. And secondly, this shows you just how tall a task Mahomes has ahead of him.

Will he put up gaudy numbers with the slew of weapons in his arsenal? Absolutely. But will it be enough to take down the Patriots who have an incredible offense of their own? According to the numbers, the answer is likely no.

Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense make for a lethal combination, but history thinks it's time the young QB gets humbled by the GOAT. This stat, more than anything else, suggests taking the Patriots moneyline.
