The Jacksonville Jaguars have major injury issues at running back right now. Leonard Fournette is expected to be  out through at least Week 6 and backup Corey Grant was  placed on IR, leaving the Jags with only T.J. Yeldon in the backfield.

This creates the need to sign another back to fill in while Fournette is out, preferably a veteran. And that back appears to be Jamaal Charles.

Charles has had his fair share of injuries the past few years, but was still effective in a limited role in Denver last season -- a role that would likely be similar to what the Jags are looking for. Charles' 4.3 yards per carry last year is an encouraging sign that he can still contribute to an NFL team.

Perhaps, if given the opportunity, Charles could be a low-end FLEX option in deep 12-team PPR leagues. He's worth a bench spot as we see how things shake out in Jacksonville.
