BREAKING: RB Le'Veon Bell is expected to report to the Steelers during the Week 7 bye, per @JFowlerESPN.— LeadingNFL (@LeadingNFL) October 1, 2018
So what does that mean for Conner's fantasy value going forward? Well, I can tell you that things don't look too great for anyone who owns only him.
Bell has been the definition of a workhorse back in recent years, playing at least 90 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps over the past two seasons. If the Steelers decide to let bygones be bygones, then Conner will barely see any snaps after Pittsburgh comes off their bye.
Should he sign the franchise tag Week 7, Le’Veon Bell will stand to earn at least $9.4M of his original $14.544M in 2018. Though the #Steelers do have the option to negotiate an increase in his pay for this year.https://t.co/Vx5Yiyin9o— Spotrac (@spotrac) October 1, 2018
That being said, it's still too early to tell how the Steelers' backfield will shape up once Week 7 rolls around. For all we know, Bell could be traded to a different team by then, or remain in Mike Tomlin's doghouse for the remainder of the year.
