The Evan Engram injury timetable situation just went from pessimistic to definitive; definitively bad that is.

The New York Giants second-year and breakout fantasy tight end suffered a sprained MCL sprain in Week 3's game against the Houston Texans, but the latest word on his status has him missing an estimated 2-4 weeks until Engram can make a full, healthy return to the football field.

Despite a rough Week 1 performance, Engram's solid Week 2 showing put him back on pace to match or even surpass his impressive 2017 rookie season defined by 722 yards and 6 touchdowns. Missing anywhere between 2-4 weeks is going to be a huge setback to that challenge.

That's actually not as bad as it could have been.

Despite a chance of missing up to four weeks, fantasy owners that drafted Engram may want to stash him or trade him, though the value would be low at this point. Best bet is to put him on the DL and see what happens in two weeks.
