If you drafted Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson and you think the amount of usage he's seen this season is unacceptable, you're not alone.
And we're not just talking about other fantasy owners either. Browns head coach Hue Jackson shares the same priority.
And he's got a point.
Though this may come as a surprise, Johnson actually finished the 2017-18 season as the 11th-highest scoring running back in PPR fantasy leagues. And his usage numbers so far in the 2018-19 season are simply unacceptable.
#Browns RB Duke Johnson has 11 touches through 2 games. 3 catches. Entered season having failed to average 10 touches/game in 2 years under Hue Jackson. This year -- after signing contract extension -- Johnson's usage is even lower.— Evan Silva (@evansilva) September 17, 2018
The Cleveland backfield certainly got a lot more crowded this offseason. The Browns acquired Carlos Hyde and also added rookie Nick Chubb with the No. 35 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
This is great news for fantasy owners that are already thinking bust for drafting Johnson as a high-potential RB2. Now we just have to wait and see if Jackson turns his words into action.
