The New York Yankees are finally catching a break after a July and August plagued by star-player injury news.

Yankees workhorse closer Aroldis Chapman is reportedly rejoining the team this weekend back in New York, and may even be activated from the disabled list as soon as next week, according to Yankees manager Aaron Boone.

Chapman was placed on the DL back on Aug. 22 with tendinitis in his left knee, but it sounds like the Yanks are getting him back at just the right time as they head into the playoffs.

Prior to going on the DL, Chapman had a 2.11 ERA through 47 innings pitched and allowed just one home run on the season.

If New York ends up securing one of the AL Wild Card spots, having Chapman back on the mound to close out a one-game playoff could do wonders for the Yankees. And if you have him on your fantasy squad, he could help in your World Series.
