The rivalry between the Brewers and Cubs has always been an interesting one, if only because the two teams play in cities and hour and a half away from each other.

Geography is always one of the best basis for a rivalry, but in the case of the Cubs and Brewers, it also allows a lot of Cubs fans to make the drive up to Milwaukee to see a game at Miller Park. This has been happening for years, but since Cole Hamels just joined the team this was his first trip up to Miller Park as a Cubs player and he has some choice words about it:

Some of the things Hamels says aren't inherently wrong. There are always a lot of Cubs fans at Brewers-Cubs games, but maybe wait until after the series to say so? There are very few things as passionate as an angry sports fan and Hamels most likely just enraged the entire city of Milwaukee.

The Brewers already have a solid home-field advantage when they're good. Even against the Cubs there's still more Brewers fans there normally. So if Hamels is going to challenge the fans, the home-field advantage the Brewers just barely have over the Cubs might explode.

It's great for the Brewers though, people buying tickets just to spite Cole Hamels.
