5 NFL Teams That Could Top Their Projected Win Total in 2019

From season to season, the NFL is arguably the most unpredictable league in American professional sports. Teams go from worst to first in their division far more often than you might expect, and last year's Chicago Bears were just the most recent example.
With that in mind, here are five NFL teams that could rack up more victories in 2019 than their projected win total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
5. New York Jets – 7 Wins
The New York Jets spent big in free agency, bringing in Le'Veon Bell on offense and C.J. Mosley on D. They also got one of the best defensive lineman in the 2019 NFL Draft in Quinnen Williams. Pairing Williams and Mosley with Jamal Adams and Leonard Williams could make the Jets' defense far more dangerous than it has been in years. If QB Sam Darnold takes a step forward with Bell now in the backfield, the Jets could finish at .500 or better for the first time since 2015.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars – 7.5 Wins
The Jacksonville Jaguars may have finally found their quarterback after signing Nick Foles this offseason. The Jaguars also potentially improved their electric defense by adding outside linebacker Josh Allen with the seventh pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. If their offense improves with Foles at the helm, the Jaguars could be contenders in the AFC again this season.
3. Atlana Falcons – 8.5 Wins
The Atlanta Falcons were ravaged by injuries on defense and the interior of their offensive line last season. Atlanta addressed the O-line by bringing in James Carpenter and Jamon Brown, along with drafting Chris Lindstrom and Kaleb McGary. If key players on the Falcons' defense, like Keanu Neal and Deion Jones, stay healthy, this team could be every bit as dangerous as they were during their 2016-17 Super Bowl run.
2. Green Bay Packers – 9 Wins
The Green Bay Packers completely revamped their defense this offseason by signing Adrian Amos, Preston Smith and Za'Darius Smith. They even doubled down in the NFL Draft, bringing in Rashan Gary and Darnell Savage. As a result, this might be the most talented defense QB Aaron Rodgers has played with in years. The Packers also hired Matt LaFleur, an innovative offensive mind, as their new head coach. With a new-look defense and LaFleur combining forces with Rodgers, the Packers could be Super Bowl contenders this coming season.
1. San Francisco 49ers – 7.5 Wins
With Jimmy Garoppolo on track to return from a devastating ACL injury, the San Francisco 49ers could potentially be the most improved team in the NFL. The 49ers addressed their problematic defense, bringing in 2018-19 Pro Bowl DE Dee Ford and 2017-18 Pro Bowl LB Kwon Alexander. They also added Nick Bosa with the No. 2 pick in the 2019 NFK Draft, who by all accounts could be a perennial All-Pro. With a suddenly dangerous defensive front seven and Garoppolo getting a full season with tight end George Kittle and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, Kyle Shanahan's 49ers could win at least eight games and be contenders in 2019.
